PRIMARY SCHOOL: INTRO
Grade R to Grade 6
Aurora Private School was founded in 1993 and our unique vision of education enables
us to focus on providing an environment which develops a child’s unique personality.
We offer an extensive Pre-School and Grade R programme where teachers prepare pupils
for their more formal scholastic career. Emphasis is placed on providing each pupil
with a secure, home-away-from-home environment, where they can achieve their potential
in many spheres and become confident, dynamic members of our society.
In the Primary School the main focus continues to be on the child as an individual, and
to do this in such a way that he or she can work towards a self-developed
and independent future. It is very important for us as teachers to assist the pupils
to work self-sufficiently and on a level with which they are familiar.
Our academic approach is somewhat different to other schools in the sense that
we often teach the pupils out of the classroom where the 'hands-on' experience enables
individuals to interact with peers and facilitators. Life skills and
value-driven skills are integrated into all learning areas and this is the focus
of our academic education.

Visitor's Day is held every Thursday. Tours take place at 08h30, 09h30, 10h30 and
